THE MARITIMES SCANNING SITE
NOTE (DECEMBER 2005):
THIS PAGE HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED IN A LONG TIME AND IN TRUTH WAS NEVER FINISHED.
FOR AREAS IN CENTRAL MAINE, INCLUDING THE VICINITY OF BANGOR, I SUGGEST YOU GO
TO THESE EXCELLENT WEBSITES:
www.moonfire.net/cmscan and
www.rfwiz.com/Frequencies/Maine/MaineTownsCounties.htm
(try this latter without www if it does not work)
ADJACENT AREAS IN THE
STATE OF MAINE
I am including this page on Maine for the obvious reason that it borders on the Maritimes. Scannists in western New Brunswick routinely listen to transmissions from Maine, those elsewhere in the Maritimes occasionally hear DX reception during lifts, and for all Maritimers, Maine is the closest American destination. I have always had an interest in scanning information for the highway corridors between New Brunswick and the city of Bangor, Maine and therefore this page will cover the immediate border area with New Brunswick as well as those highway areas as far as greater Bangor, and no farther.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!
I expect to include information on local police and sheriff's departments as well as the Maine State Police, Border Patrol, Coast Guard, aeronautical, fire departments, and selected.government agencies. As usual I will be depending on contributions from you, beginning with major input from Craig. I realize that there are other sites with Maine information so will not try to duplicate them.
Maine/New Brunswick area frequency
chart from Craig
(March 2003)
I am beginning with a few links of interest and will gradually add pages of frequency information, starting with Law Enforcement.
