Codiac Transit 169.365 rptr (input 173.55) Gorge Rd repeater

B. Trunk Systems:

There are at least two 800 MHz trunk systems serving the Moncton, New Brunswick area.  One is apparently a commercial system and completely or predominantly French-language.  The other is by or for the city, with some commercial usage.  At this point I only have information on this latter system.  In December 2004 a control channel was heard on 858.4625 MHz.

Moncton Lutes Mountain Trunk

This system is apparently a Type II system.  I have not yet heard this myself, so will rely on clarifications from listeners in the area.

Frequencies:

Channel 249:  857.2125  Voice Channel
Channel 289:  858.2125  Voice Channel
Channel 299:  858.4625  Voice and Data Channel
Channel 309:  858.7125  Voice and Data Channel
Channel 319:  858.9625  Voice and Data Channel

Notes from Bill:  The two highest frequency channels' status is yet to be clarified. These are likely to be simplex channels associated with the trunk.

It might be suspected that this system is also assigned Channels 257, 267, and 277 even if not currently being heard; however all three of these are reserved or allocated for special use by Industry Canada.  It may be useful to monitor them in case they are in fact in use in this system. Frequencies are: 857.4125, 857.6625, and 857.9125 MHz.
