VHF Trunk? St. John's area RNC and RCMP

Part C.  Info from Stephen. Current in 2007

I found a MOT 2 system in the St.John's area, control channels
858.6875 and 859.1875. Mostly commercial users but,
I believe that 33536 was a police service.

Possibly two  VHF trunk systems in the St John's area:
One appears to be an EDACS System, as there's a beeping
going on in back ground. Took me close to a week to figure it out.
Must be new as it wasn't there when I was in St.John's in 2004.
Only ended up with frequencies for Mount Pearl area.
Freq. 158.760, 159.270, 160.400.
IDs of 04-022, 04-023 might be RCMP? The dispatches I heard were
for areas outside of the RNC coverage area.
The other VHF system that caught my attention was a repeater of
149.4100/150.0950  initially though it was an ambulance freq. but,
while doing a CTCSS search discovered multiple users. Got the impression
that the various PLs were the user IDs.
i.e, CTCSS tone of 100.0, 141.3 and 179.9 were ambulance to hospital
links. There was another pair 148.225/159.8400  that operated the same way.

Note from Bill re this second system.... This sounds like a conventional community repeater system to me, where the
repeater is shared manually by users.. pre-trunking technology.    The tones are I think mostly used so that only the
appropriate receivers have their squelch open; other ones stay quiet so not hearing other users' traffic...   The two repeaters
mentioned could each be standalone, for different sets of users, or could be hard-linked and used by all of the users for wider
coverage....
